Elizabeth "Liz" Boillat

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden loss of Elizabeth "Liz" Boillat, who passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2023 in her Swansboro, NC home at the age of 67.

Raised by her father, John "Bud" (1927-2006) and mother Hazel (nee Byrd, 1928-2009) Daniels, as well as her step-mother, Joyce Daniels (1927-2021), Liz enjoyed a happy childhood in Charlotte, NC and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1973. Known as the baby of the family, she had three older siblings, Stephen (1948-2009), John (wife Jane), and Susan (Matthews, husband Jack).

In 1983, Liz married the love of her life, Daniel "Danny" Boillat (1954-2018). Together they had one son, Daniel "Jimmy" (wife Katlynne), and one doted upon grandson, Oliver.

An automotive paint extraordinaire, Liz was known for her exceptional ability to match paint to any car, truck, or boat that wheeled in to the shop. After retiring from the paint industry, she worked in Carteret County ABC stores, ensuring every customer left with a smile on their face. She spent her retirement relaxing and visiting with family. 

Liz will always be remembered for her stories, jokes, and contagious laughter that inevitably accompanied them. Her surviving family is comforted by knowing Liz is sharing her light and laughter with those who have gone before her.

A memorial reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in her son's home located at 305 Ladybird Ln., Pineville, NC 28134. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating Liz's life.
